this week went pretty quick and i didn't count down the hours the whole time at work. so maybe thats why it went fast? i was thinking of becoming a librarian. you know you have to have a degree for that? that baffles me. do they teach you how to put books on the shelf? thats all i want to do!

i'll think about it....

i do some more thinking on my freewebs and updated a bit on there today. (you know, pondered reality and society) the link somewhere is this way  >>>>>>>>

thats about it really. oh and.........

i spoke to my dad and mum yesterday for 3 hours on the phone. (dog and bone, dad)

i got my hair done.

i sunburnt.

i ate cookie for breakfast.

i started to read 'the moonstone' and i love it.

yep thats really all for now.  bye!

mortal beings

  • Mood:
  • Music: your hand in mine- explosions in the sky
Because I could not stop for Death --
He kindly stopped for me --
The Carriage held but just Ourselves --
And Immortality. ~ Emily Dickinson

the turritopsis nutricula jellyfish is immortal.  after growing up into an adult jellyfish, the turritopis nutricula can transform itself back into it's child like stage and start the process of growing up all over again.  the jellyfish can repeat this forever. however, poor jelly can't escape predators or dangerous situations , so of course, death is still inevitable. it is just a matter of time.

in mostly all religious traditions, the soul is immortal. reincarnation is believed by nearly three quarters of the world throughout time. does this make humans merely hopeful and in denial or is there something in it? who knows? that is none exclusive and another topic in itself.

so, is immortality of the physical form desirable? it seems like quite a romantic notion and one that many may aspire to given the chance. but would it not become boring? the time would come when you would have no motivation to achieve your goals, (you wouldnt have any goals left) knowing that you have forever to reach them.

if we were meant to live forever we would have found a way by now surely? it seems like the count of saint germain already has. an alchemist in the 18th century may still be alive today!

i don't think i'd like to be around when scientists discover his secret.
